Dialoguing Gender, Identity, and Sexual Orientation in Salem-Keizer

Hey Friends,

I’m interested in looking for people who are living and/or working in/around Salem-Keizer who are interested in talking with me about their personal, lived experiences surrounding gender and/or sexual orientation, and the effects that these realities have on their daily lives, their interpersonal relationships, and their personal identity/ties.
I’m interested in how individuals think about these two topics generally, as well as personally— whether they have given thought to these issues critically everyday, or have never really considered them in depth before.

I’m especially interested in meeting and talking with individuals in the Salem-Keizer area due not only to consider a specific place where these realities of gender/sexual orientation are being lived, but also for my own convenience (35+ hour work weeks keeps me from a lot a spare time, but not from wanting to dialogue!!!).

I’m thinking this may turn into something more in the future… maybe a [personal] Project of sorts? But for now, I’m simply looking to be inspired and enlightened by conversations concerning these two broad and yet delicately interconnected topics.
Questions we could consider, for example, might be:
What does it mean to be a man or a woman? What does it mean to be a man or a woman in Salem-Keizer? What is it like to be straight/gay/bisexual in Salem-Keizer? etc.

If you would like to meet up and chat with me, send me a *personal message* and we’ll work something out.

I look forward to seeing what we can consider, learn, and inspire.

Thanks!

notes after a 12-hour work day

overall pretty great, aside from a spot of nausea in about hour 8; and one co-worker gave me a smoke just because, so that was chill…

co-workers and i got a lot done today (and i finally feel like i’m getting my lead worker responsibilities down, while not being an over-authoritative or micro-managing jerk), even if i had to close late b/c half-a-dozen ppl came in 5-minutes to cloze (oh well, $5— in tips is money in my jeans)…

road my bike around the grid a bit (instead of going straight home) while listening to drop dead…

home; made a list of shit to do tmrrw, took a xanax and a shower—lit some incense— time to eat and watch boondocks or something, read and sleep
